Harappa was the first archaeological site found in the Indus Valley. Sometimes other sites in the Indus Valley are confused with the Harappan Civilization. As for the Indus script, it has not yet been deciphered. There are many remnants of the script on pottery, seals, and amulets, but without a "Rosetta Stone" archaeologists have been unable to decipher it. They had to rely on the surviving cultural materials to give them insight into the life of the Harappan's. Harappan people were very intelligent.
